Applying to University is one of the most terrifying things I’ve done. There are so many factors that go into making the right decision. As a student, the pressures are boundless, not only do we have to worry about scoring well to get placed at our dream university but at the same time we also have to simultaneously go through the process of university applications. I was utterly confused about where to apply and how to go about the entire application process. I was terrified and had absolutely no idea as to where to begin from.

After going over all my options with my University Placements Counselor at school, I finally made up my mind to study in Australia. Soon after which I connected with my counselor Ms. Monica Bhate from EduCounsel. I hadn’t had so much clarity about my future in a long time as I did after discussing the scope of my options with her. I was walked through the entire procedure step by step which made it less daunting and a lot easier. My counselor was there to aid me at every minor setback. Finally, I finished with the application and was offered to study the Bachelor of Commerce degree at The University of Melbourne. Only when I thought I was over with the hardest part, it was time to apply for the visa. The course of the visa application was far more tedious than the university application itself. I was fortunate to have my counselor from Educounsel help me compile all the required documents for the visa. It took a long time getting all the documents right, from the bank details to the academic transcripts all the credentials were checked thoroughly by my counselor to make sure all of it was perfect. After weeks of going back and forth with all the paperwork we finally applied for the visa. To my surprise, the visa was granted in a couple of minutes. All the verification and rechecking of documents that my counselor had done finally paid off.

Every student fears the process of figuring out the next step after high school. Not only because applying can be nerve wrecking but also because it determines their entire future. Besides that, university applications can be expensive and the fright of getting it wrong is constantly lingering over their heads. Having a professional walk through the entire application journey with you makes it systematic and extremely validating. I feel immensely blessed to have been supported by a counselor who was exceptionally well versed with the entire system and also truly cared to place me somewhere I deserved to be.
