Congratulations on taking the exciting first step towards studying abroad!  To ensure a smooth application process, it’s crucial to have all the necessary documents in order. This blog will guide you through the standard set of documents required for your application, although some programs may have additional requirements.

Preparing for Success: Document Requirements

All documents submitted should be clear scans in PDF format.  Professional scanning is recommended to ensure optimal quality.  Additionally, each file size should be under 2MB.

Academic Background:

1. Grade 10 Marksheet and Certificate: Prove your academic foundation by submitting both your Grade 10 marksheet and certificate.

2. Grade 12 Marksheet and Certificate: Similar to Grade 10, your Grade 12 marksheet and certificate demonstrate your academic performance at the higher secondary level.

3. Actual/Provisional Degree Certificate & Individual Marksheets/Transcripts (For Bachelor’s Graduates): If you’re a bachelor’s graduate, submit your actual or provisional degree certificate along with individual marksheets and transcripts from your bachelor’s program.

4. IELTS Scorecard: For international students whose native language isn’t English, a valid IELTS scorecard is mandatory. This assesses your English language proficiency for successful academic studies.

 

Identification and Additional Qualifications:

1. Valid Passport (Colour Scan – First & Last Page): A clear scan of your passport’s first and last page is essential for identification purposes.

2. Certificates of Extra-Curricular Activities: Showcase your well-roundedness by including certificates highlighting your achievements in extracurricular activities.

Recommendation and Supporting Documents:

1. 2 Letters of Recommendation (LORs) from Professors: Secure two strong letters of recommendation from professors who can vouch for your academic abilities and potential.

2. Curriculum Vitae (CV): A well-crafted CV summarizes your academic background, skills, and experiences.

3. Internship Letters (if applicable): Demonstrate your practical experience by including any internship letters you may have received.

4. Statement of Purpose (SoP): Write a compelling SoP/Personal Statement that outlines your background, academic goals, career goals, research interests, your hobbies and extra-curricular achievements, and state why this course/ college/ university is the perfect fit for you.

 

Working Professionals: If you’re a working professional, you’ll need to include the following additional documents:

1. Employment Offer/Appointment Letters: Provide scans of your employment offer letter or appointment letters from your current or past positions.

2. Letter of Recommendation from Employer: A strong letter of recommendation from your employer can significantly enhance your application.
